Chatsworth House

Chatsworth House

The Peak District is one of the most beautiful places my partner and I have visited yet! We stayed in a beautiful apartment in the town centre of Ashbourne. Chatsworth House was around a 40-minute drive but well worth it!

A little frustratingly, the “front” of the house is closed to visitors, however, this is understandable once you learn that the current Duke and Duchess of Devonshire still live there, with 100 rooms being closed to the public.

To walk through the house you had to choose a time slot at a cost of £25 per adult. Slightly steep however oddly worth it once there! Each room was decorated as a different fairytale, as you can tell from the photo above that room was Cinderella.

The decorations were really gorgeous and clearly, I was the crazy lady taking pictures of *every* little thing!

This room (although you can’t really tell) was dedicated to the Wizard of Oz, the only real tell-tale sign was the ruby slippers on the mantle.

The art throughout the house was astonishing, Chatsworth is part of the Art Fund Organisation so if you have a membership you get 50% off!

The baubles were too gorgeous not to take singular photos of. Just look at them!
