Youtubers “every-day” make up looks – How much do they cost?

You’ve seen them, the masses of “every day” make up looks that Youtubers churn out annually. But how much do they actually cost? Personally, I use a £15 mascara and a £20 eyebrow shadow every day. The eyebrow shadow is around 2/3 years but let’s pretend that’s completely fine and hygienic…anyway. I started to wonder how much they could possibly spend on their supposedly day to day makeup looks (not including their skincare routine) so without further ado…

Laura Lee

She is, of course, a beauty YouTuber who has over 4m subscribers. The video I will be using for this breakdown in the latest video (that I can see) is from April 2018. Link here. So, how much does she spend on her daily makeup routine?

Primer: Tatcha – The silk canvas primer $52 (£41.08) link here.

Foundation: Clinique Beyond Perfecting™ Foundation + Concealer $29 (£22.91) link here.

Brow pencil: Benefit precisely, my brow eyebrow pencil £22.90 link here.

Countour: Morphe Brontour Showmance $12 (£9.48) link here.

Concealer: KKW Setting Powder $18 (£14.22) link here.

Eyeliner: Morphe Gel Liner $9 (£7.11) link here.

Lip Liner: Jouer Lip Liner $16 (£12.64) link here.

Liquid Lip: Jouer long-wear cream liquid lip $18 (£14.22) link here.

Mascara: Rimmel Extra Long Lash Mascara £4.99 link here.

So to total that up, in pounds that is a huge £149.55! To put that into perspective, that’s just over 41 classic chicken footlong subs. So, a lot. What do you think? Comment below how much you spend on your routine and let me know your thoughts!

That’s so much money oh my goodness!! The most expensive item in my everyday look is the It Cosmetics CC Cream because I think it’s worth spending a larger amount of money on your base product. If I had the cash, I’d definitely treat myself to a few more high end products for my everyday look, which is quite simple, and I don’t tend to have multiple of the same product–I just get a new bronzer when I run out, rather than having 3 or 4 other bronzers on rotation. This was so interesting!
